My first job in radio was in Warrensburg, Missouri. I got that gig by drawing what I think was a fiercely cute smiley face and writing "will work for peanuts" in the top right hand corner of my application - they paid me minimum wage instead, which is good because I only like peanut butter, not actually a fan of the nuts themselves.
I moved back to St. Louis after one year out there to attend Webster University.
Working at The Point is the best because I love the music, and STL is my hometown! (I went to Parkway Central High School, since you asked.)
I grew up listening to The Point, thanks to my older brother schooling me in the ways of Alternative music. I’m also a Point Perpetrator so say "Hey!" when you see the Point Truck out and about!
Lastly, I would also like to reiterate that although Christy, Liz and I are all female and are all redheads, we are not the same person!
